Besides picking the right people, leadership is about creating and maintaining an environment based on set of values (trust and honesty) where each person feel that he/she is unique and really contributes to the success of a team.

Leadership is about empowering and involving people in teams. It is about looking for multiple perspectives and finding the best ones. It can be done when the leaders as well as followers think beyond preconceived and cognitive mindsets.

Having read "Coach and Couch" and other writings of Professor Manfred Kets de Vries, I am very impressed with the research and programs INSEAD has developed regarding leadership. We at the Hoffman Institute present a personal growth process that has profound implications for leadership development.
