Biography

Lahlou Khélifi is a Real Estate advisor, with 30-­‐year experience in the finance and Real Estate sector: in Investment, asset management, M&A, and development, mainly in Europe, but also in South America, Asia and North Africa.

Lahlou started his career in 1987 in real estate development at the French Caisse des Dépôts. Then he was Chief Operating Officer of SEFIMEG, a listed property company based in Paris.

In the middle of the 90’, he joined Goldman Sachs and became the Whitehall Real Estate Fund representative, responsible for its real estate portfolio in France, Switzerland, and Germany.

Later on, as Managing Director, he represented the Private Equity Group Doughty Hanson, for the business development in France, contributing to the Fund raising of the DH’s 2nd European RE Fund.

Then he was Managing Director at Lazard Bank in Paris, in charge of the Real Estate M&A and advisory group, before joining one of his client to became chairman of Allard Places, a family office development company active in Paris and Brazil.

In fall 2013, he resigned from his position of CEO of Mercialys (a listed property company) and global advisor for RE of CASINO, the French distribution group, to develop his own advisory activities.

Since December 2017, Lahlou is Managing Director at Alantra, in charge of Real Estate M&A and Advisory.

Since 2000, Lahlou contributed to over €2.5 billion of real estate assets disposition. He has been in charge of over 200,000 sqm of successful office developments. He contributed to large portfolio acquisitions, including the €3 billion France Telecom deal, and as advisor, secured about €1 billion of transactions.

Lahlou is in the board of leading RE professional clubs in France. He was the Chairman of ULI France. He has been elected “2002 Real Estate Asset Manager of the Year" by industry professionals vote.

He is a graduate of the University of Paris (Master’s degree Economics and Laws and Professional degree in Management). He studied at “Sciences Po”, the Parisian Political Institute, getting a Professional degree in Urbanism. He is graduated from INSEAD MBA Program.

Lahlou is teaching RE Finance and Investment for 20 years in Business Schools and Universities. He has been awarded France's academic honor, the Knight in the Order of the Academic Palms, for his dedication to professional education. He is very active in the RE alumni community.
