Biography

Aldona Kapačinskaitė is an Assistant Professor of Strategy at INSEAD. She holds a PhD in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from London Business School. In 2022, she won the Best Dissertation Award at the Technology and Innovaton Management (TIM) Division and was a finalist at the Strategic Management (STR) Division the Academy of Management.

Aldona studies drivers of organizational innovation, focusing on how changes in appropriability and competitive environments affect the generation and use of trade secrets, investments in new technology, and product launches and updates. The studies span sectors such as energy, digital platforms, and medical devices, among others. Aldona’s research has been published at the Strategic Management Journal and Management Science. Her work has been recognized by various institutions, including the SMS Research in Strategic Management Award, Strategy Research Foundation Dissertation Award, and grants from the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Wheeler Institute at London Business School. She was a Thomas Edison Innovation Law and Policy Fellow at the Center for Intellectual Property and Innovation Policy in 2023-2024.

Aldona has served on the Editorial Review Board at Organization Science, TIM Executive Committee, and STR Membership Engagement Committee.
