Georges Kioes is a Luxembourg-based Certified Independent Non-Executive Director and board advisor who serves on the boards of several European family-owned businesses. He spent more than three decades as a chartered accountant and auditor, first at PwC and then as a Partner at Deloitte, where he led the Family Business practice from 2001 to 2018. Today he advises Luxembourg family groups preparing for a change of generation. From 2017 to 2023 he chaired the "Family-Owned Businesses and SMEs" working group of the Luxembourg Institute of Independent Directors (ILA), and he wrote Governance for Family Businesses and SMEs – Vade Mecum. He is an alumnus of INSEAD's International Directors Programme and a member of the Swiss Institute of Directors.
