Katharina Balazs

Biography

Katharina Balazs is an Associate Professor at ESCP Europe and an executive coach at the INSEAD Global Leadership Centre. In her executive development and coaching work she specialises on maximising performance and driving value at ExCom level, top team and Board dynamics, and works with both teams and individuals.

Katharina has worked with, among others, the World Economic Forum, Boehringer Ingelheim, Akzo Nobel, Crédit Agricole, Deutsche Bank, EDF, Kone, KMPG, Merck, Pernod-Ricard, Randstad, Siemens, Societé Générale, Vivendi and TUV. In the past she was active as a strategic consultant in Scandinavia, focusing on M & - As. She also worked as visiting faculty at Sciences Po and HEC Paris.

She is the author and co-author of several books, scientific articles and research papers on leadership, organisational excellence, transformation and change, her latest book Some Like It Haute: Leadership Lessons of the Great Chefs focuses upon the ways the great French and international chefs achieve organisational excellence.
