Martijn Thierry is a consultant for business strategy, innovation and circular business, as well as academic researcher at Martijn Thierry Strategic Results. He is currently Executive in Residence at INSEAD's Sustainable Business Initiative, and now collaborates with his former PhD advisor Luk Van Wassenhove on lifecycle refrigerant management research.
After attaining his PhD, he joined Bain & Company for seven years in London and Amsterdam, and subsequently became an independent strategy consultant, during which he worked to reduce child mortality (at Max Foundation) and prevent road crashes (at Safe Crossings) in Bangladesh and Nepal.
