Rudi H. Spaan is the President & CEO, AIG Hong Kong; Head of Country Operations Hong Kong & Taiwan and Head of Client & Broker Engagement for the Asia Pacific region.
In October 2014, Rudi’s portfolio was extended to lead the day to day operations for AIG Hong Kong and AIG Taiwan. Since July 2013 he has been responsible for all Client and Broker Engagement activities in the Asia Pacific region. The emphasis of this role is to optimize business opportunities with the major client segments and broker channels.
From August 2009 until July 2013, Rudi served as Executive Vice President, Commercial Division Asia Pacific (ex Japan).
He is a 23 year AIG veteran and spent the last 21 years in Asia holding several country management positions in Singapore and Taiwan and prior to that regional underwriting positions in South East Asia.
In addition to the above positions Mr. Spaan also serves as a Director on the AIG Hong Kong Board, the AIG Taiwan Board and AIG Advisors Korea Board.
