Biography

Shraddha Rana joined INSEAD as a postdoctoral researcher, working closely with Professor Luk Van Wassenhove in the Humanitarian Research Group. Shraddha’s research interests include transportation and logistics, disaster preparedness and response, system resilience, policy planning, and applied analytics.

She earned a Ph.D. in Transportation and Logistics Systems in 2024, and a MS in Transportation in 2019, from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. During her Ph.D. Shraddha focused on measuring and improving performance of freight distribution systems during natural disasters, in collaboration with the Federal Emergency Management Agency. She also worked as an applied scientist intern at Uber in 2022, where she contributed to driver price elasticity measurement for incentive design.
