Sujin Jang
Sujin Jang is an Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour at INSEAD.
Sujin's research examines how people collaborate across boundaries. Sujin's research examines how people collaborate across boundaries. Using experiments, archival data analysis, surveys, and agent-based simulations, she illuminates both the challenges of cross-boundary collaboration and how individuals, teams, and organizations can better navigate and benefit from this work.
Her research has earned numerous honors, including the INFORMS/ Organization Science Best Dissertation Proposal Award, the J. Richard Hackman Award for the Dissertation that Most Significantly Advances the Study of Groups, and a nomination as a Radar Thinker by Thinkers50. Sujin has published her work in outlets such as Organization Science, the Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology, and Harvard Business Review. Her co-authored article on Cross-Silo Leadership appears in HBR’s 10 Must Reads on Leadership (Vol. 2) as one of the most influential leadership articles from the last decade.
At INSEAD, Sujin teaches in the MBA, Ph.D., and Executive Development Programmes on leadership development and cross-boundary collaboration. She has received the Dean’s Commendation for Teaching Excellence and is a four-time recipient of the Best Elective Teaching Award voted by graduating MBA classes.
Sujin holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Harvard Business School, an M.A. in Social Psychology from Harvard University, and a B.B.A. with Highest Honors from Yonsei University.
