Valerie Godefroy
Biography
Valérie Godefroy is a postdoctoral fellow at INSEAD, working in collaboration with Paris Brain Institute, in the Control-Interoception-Attention Team. She has an interdisciplinary background: she has a MD in life science engineering (from AgroParisTech), holds a PhD degree in Psychology (from Paris Nanterre University), and currently works as a post-doctoral fellow in Behavioural Neuroscience. Her research mainly focuses on the characterization of individual differences in self-control from the combination of psychological data (cognition, behaviour) and physiological data (MRI neuroimaging).
She has worked with different populations (both healthy and clinical) and her research presents applications in terms of precision medicine and public health in different domains: prevention and treatment of overweight, care strategies targeting behavioral disorders (apathy, disinhibition) in dementia.
Her research has been published in high-level international journals in the fields of Nutrition and eating behavior (e.g., International Journal of Obesity, Appetite) and in the field of Neuroscience (e.g., Cortex, Alzheimer’s & Dementia).
